Illegal Immigrants Affected Pakistan’s Economy: Army Chief

Web Desk — Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir on Thursday said that illegal immigrants are adversely affecting Pakistan’s security and economy.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief passed these remarks during a session with participants of the First National Workshop Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (NWKP-1). Gen Asim Munir said: “Illegal foreigners were seriously affecting Pakistan’s security and economy.”

The Army Chief said that the decision to repatriate illegal immigrants had been taken by the government in Pakistan’s interest. Illegal foreigners are being repatriated to their countries in a dignified manner.

Gen. Asim Munir further remarked that KP’s firm support to security forces had resulted in the economic and political stability of the province.

Earlier, the army chief interacted with soldiers and lauded their efforts to combat terrorism.
