ICC ODI World Cup 2023 Revised Schedule Announced

Web Desk — The amended schedule for the major tournament being held in India has been released after two teams (Sri Lanka and the Netherlands) qualified for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 through the qualifiers.

The tournament will open with the heavyweight clash between defending champions England and New Zealand on 5 October at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. England and Pakistan will be seen fighting in the final Group Stage encounter at the iconic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata.

The first semi-final will be held in Mumbai on Wednesday, 15 November. The second semi-final will be played the following day in Kolkata and there will be a reserve day for both semi-finals.

On 19 November, the Final match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 19 November. 20 November will be the reserve day for the final.

All three knock-out fixtures will be day-night matches.

There will be a total of 10 venues – Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Delhi, Dharamsala, Chennai, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, Guwahati, and Thiruvananthapuram in addition to Hyderabad will host the warm-up matches from 29 September to 3 October.
