Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy For Babar Azam; Well Played Skipper!

Babar Azam makes another record

Web Desk — With yet another feather in his hat, Pakistani Cricket Team captain Babar Azam won two of the biggest ICC awards on Thursday. Babar Azam won the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for Best Cricketer, after becoming Best ODI Cricketer of the year.

As a cricketer, he showed his class in all three formats of the game, as he was the top scorer of the year in all formats combined.

Unfortunately, the runs-making machine was just close to breaking all-time record for most runs in a calendar year but missed it. However, Babar broke Mohammad Yousaf’s record for most runs by a Pakistani batter in a calendar year though.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi has congratulated the skipper on his big achievement.

Last year, it was Shaheen Shah Afridi who won the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy.
