Sarah Inam – Another Innocent Victim Of A Psychopath

Sara Inam murder

Web Desk — Just after three months of her marriage to Ayaz Amir’s son Shahnawaz, Sarah Inam, 37, was allegedly murdered brutally by her husband.

As headlines splashed across major news outlets on September 23, “Senior journalist Ayaz Amir’s son detained after wife found dead in Islamabad,” just over a year after the cold-blooded murder of Noor Mukadam, a 27-year-old who was ruthlessly murdered by Zahir Jaffer in Islamabad last year.

Shahnawaz allegedly killed Sarah at her home in Islamabad’s Chak Shahzad area after a dispute over a petty “family issue”. When he was detained by the police as the prime suspect, he confessed to killing Sarah, saying he thought his spouse was having an affair.

Sarah’s Career
She had worked for Deloitte and USAID at various points in her career.

Friends and family reported that she had a master’s degree from the University of Waterloo and worked in the UAE government sector.

A friend and colleague described Sarah as a “voracious reader and thinker” who was deeply passionate about her profession, history, and religion.

‘Kindest, smartest, gentlest’
Stephen Nash, Sarah’s friend, wrote a heartfelt note following her death, describing her as a “bright light in this world, just the kindest, smartest and gentlest soul”.

“A cruel man took away Sarah’s innocence and naiveté by his cruel actions. It’s unfathomable,” he wrote on a widely circulated Facebook post.

According to Nash, Sarah had friends all over the world, from Pakistan to Canada to the United Arab Emirates.
