The death toll from four days of continuous US and Israeli airstrikes on Iran has climbed to 787, with over 1,500 wounded, as the conflict intensifies with direct attacks on Iran’s leadership infrastructure.
The Iranian Red Crescent has released detailed statistics on the human and infrastructural cost of the ongoing aerial campaign, painting a grim picture of widespread devastation across the country.
153 Cities, 504 Locations Targeted
According to the official figures:
- 153 Iranian cities have been subjected to airstrikes
- 504 distinct locations have been targeted
- A combined total of 1,039 separate attacks have been carried out
- The death toll has now reached 787 martyrs
- Thousands more have been injured, many critically
Leadership Complex Attacked by 100 Jets
In a significant escalation, both Pakistani and international media are reporting that the Leadership Complex in Tehran was attacked by 100 aircraft. According to the Israeli military, the strike also targeted the Presidential Bureau.
The Israeli military has revealed the staggering scale of the aerial campaign, stating that over the past 30 hours, they have dropped 2,000 bombs on Iran. The Presidential Office building and the National Security Council building have both been hit in the latest wave of attacks.
Conflict Engulfs Region
The war, initiated by US and Israeli forces, has now spread across the Middle East, with multiple fronts opening as Iran’s allies and proxy forces retaliate.
In a major escalation, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for striking a US base in Bahrain, firing 20 drones and 3 missiles at the facility. The attack marks a significant expansion of the conflict into the Gulf kingdom, which hosts the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet.
US Claims IRGC Command Center Destroyed
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has claimed that it successfully destroyed an IRGC Command and Control Center in the latest round of strikes. American forces also report hitting multiple Iranian missile launch sites and other strategic targets as part of ongoing operations to degrade Iran’s military capabilities.
Regional Spillover
The conflict has drawn in multiple countries across the region:
- Kuwait: US F-15 fighter jet crashed amid ongoing hostilities
- UAE: Dubai International Airport terminal damaged in Iranian strikes
- Qatar: Eight injured by falling missile debris
- Bahrain: US base targeted by IRGC drones and missiles
- Iraq, Jordan: Explosions reported as conflict spreads
Humanitarian Crisis Deepens
With nearly 800 confirmed dead and thousands wounded, medical facilities across Iran are struggling to cope with the influx of casualties. The targeting of leadership and government infrastructure suggests the campaign is intensifying rather than winding down.
The United Nations has called for an immediate ceasefire, but with both sides showing no signs of de-escalation and leadership compounds now in the crosshairs, the death toll is expected to rise further as the conflict enters its fifth day.
