The Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, gave a media briefing to share detailed updates on Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, the ongoing retaliatory action against unprovoked aggression by the Afghan Taliban regime along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the military spokesperson, the operation has resulted in heavy losses for the enemy, with 297 personnel of the Afghan Taliban regime and Khwarij terrorists killed, and over 400 wounded. Pakistani security forces have completely destroyed more than 74 enemy posts, while capturing 18 check posts and hoisting the national flag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pakistan’s Sacrifices<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n While bravely defending the motherland, 12 soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom, and another 27 were injured during the operations. “The nation is proud of its brave sons,” Lt Gen Chaudhry stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Enemy’s Heavy Losses<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The DG ISPR revealed that Pakistani forces have destroyed significant enemy assets, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Details of Aggression and Response<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Providing the sequence of events, Lt Gen Chaudhry explained that on the night of February 21 and 22, Pakistani forces targeted Fitna al-Khawarij hideouts near the border. The Afghan Taliban regime used this as a pretext to launch unprovoked aggression, opening fire at 53 locations across 15 sectors along the Pak-Afghan border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Not only did Pakistani security forces repulse the attacks at all 53 locations, but they also gave such a powerful response that the world witnessed,” he asserted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ‘No Difference Between Afghan Taliban Regime and Terrorists’<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The DG ISPR delivered a strong message, stating, “There is no difference between the Afghan Taliban regime and terrorists. This illegitimate setup is the mother of all proxies.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n He accused the Afghan Taliban regime of patronizing terrorists, warning, “If terrorism or a suicide attack occurs anywhere in Pakistan, the response will not only be against the terrorists but also against those providing them sanctuary.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Clear Choice for Afghanistan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Lt Gen Chaudhry issued a clear ultimatum: “Afghanistan has to choose between the TTP, BLA, Daesh, Al-Qaeda, and other terrorist organizations, or Pakistan. Our priorities are clear, and we will not hesitate to make any sacrifice for our choice.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n He emphasized that Pakistan stands vigilant on both eastern and western borders, warning, “If anyone wants to fulfill their desire, they are welcome to try.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n National Consensus Against Terrorism<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The DG ISPR highlighted that Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq is continuing on the directives of the Prime Minister, with the world understanding that this operation is for the protection of Pakistani citizens. “The nation is united against terrorism, rising above political differences. Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq will continue until its objectives are achieved.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n He also saluted the police of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, expressing pride in their sacrifices and contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Doha Agreement Violation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Lt Gen Chaudhry reminded that the Afghan Taliban regime had pledged under the Doha Agreement not to allow their soil to be used for terrorism. “Did the Afghan Taliban abide by their agreement?” he questioned, reiterating that every terrorism incident in Pakistan has Indian involvement, and that there is no difference between the Afghan Taliban regime and terrorists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n National Unity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n “Our effective response is a manifestation of the armed forces being fully vigilant.
