{"id":7412,"date":"2025-12-11T00:03:06","date_gmt":"2025-12-11T00:03:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsmakers.com.pk\/en\/?p=7412"},"modified":"2025-12-11T00:15:52","modified_gmt":"2025-12-11T00:15:52","slug":"vande-mataram-contains-shirk-based-concepts-arshad-madani","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsmakers.com.pk\/en\/international\/vande-mataram-contains-shirk-based-concepts-arshad-madani\/7412\/","title":{"rendered":"Vande Mataram Contains \u2018Shirk-Based Concepts, Arshad Madani"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color\">Thursday, 11 December 2025 | Web Desk<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maulana Arshad Madani \u2014 President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind (Arshad faction) and head teacher of Darul Uloom Deoband \u2014 has declared India\u2019s national song <em>Vande Mataram<\/em> to be incompatible with Islamic belief, calling its wording \u201cshirk-based\u201d and contrary to fundamental principles of the Muslim faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking on the issue, Maulana Arshad Madani said that Muslims do not object to others singing or reciting <em>Vande Mataram<\/em>, but Islamic belief allows worship of only one God, without associating anyone or anything with Him. \u201cA Muslim worships only Allah, and no one can be associated in that worship,\u201d he reiterated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He emphasized again that the national song contains concepts that conflict with core Islamic teachings.
