{"id":712,"date":"2021-11-07T22:28:47","date_gmt":"2021-11-07T22:28:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsmakers.com.pk\/en\/?p=712"},"modified":"2021-11-07T22:28:49","modified_gmt":"2021-11-07T22:28:49","slug":"ptv-starts-legal-battle-against-shoaib-akhtar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsmakers.com.pk\/en\/pakistan\/ptv-starts-legal-battle-against-shoaib-akhtar\/712\/","title":{"rendered":"PTV Starts Legal Battle Against Shoaib Akhtar"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Web Desk &#8212; The Pakistan Television (PTV) has sent a recovery notice to former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar for damages worth Rs103.3 million for &#8220;being absent from its shows during the T20 World Cup and for resigning from his position without serving a notice period&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Giving his reaction on the legal notice Shoaib Akhtar expressed utter disappointment with the PTV for sending him a legal recovery notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Utterly Disappointed,&#8221; Shoaib wrote on Twitter. &#8220;After miserably failing to safeguard my respect and repute while I was working for PTV, they have now sent me a recovery notice. I am a fighter &amp; will not give up &amp; fight this legal battle. My lawyer will take this forward according to law.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Akhtar has been told in the legal notice that he is liable to pay Rs3.3 million to the PTV in lieu of three months of his salary as he resigned without serving the notice period.
