Web Desk<\/strong> \u2013 The top brass of the Pakistan Army has categorically rejected the baseless allegations that the armed forces interfered with the electoral process after political parties raised their voice over the February 8 poll results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army\u2019s top leadership expressed its reservations during the 263rd Corps Commanders\u2019 Conference (CCC) led by Army Chie General Asim Munir at GHQ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quoting the army\u2019s top brass, ISPR said that the CCC noted that the forces \u201cat a great peril to their primary responsibility, provided safe environment for the conduct of GE-24 as per the given mandate, and had nothing to do with the electoral process\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to statement issued by the ISPR, the CCC expressed dismay that some vested small segments of polity and media, especially social media have been maligning the Armed Forces of Pakistan with totally baseless allegations of interference which is highly deplorable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pakistan Army\u2019s top forum expressed concerns that the entire focus of such vested elements is on creating political instability and uncertainty by attempting to scapegoat others for their own failings rather than focusing on real issues such as good governance, economic recovery, political stability, and public well-being, as per the ISPR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CCC also emphasized that that due legal processes be followed with evidence and proof rather than spreading the unconstitutional and uncalled for baseless political rhetoric and emotional outbursts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The army\u2019s top command affirmed that military leadership is cognisant of the full spectrum of the challenges and threats while remaining committed to shoulder its constitutionally mandated responsibilities with the support of the resilient people of Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The forum committed that planners, instigators, abettors, perpetrators, and desecrators of martyrs\u2019 monuments and attackers of military installations on May 9, would certainly be brought to book under the relevant provisions of the law and Constitution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
