{"id":5225,"date":"2023-12-29T21:23:35","date_gmt":"2023-12-29T21:23:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsmakers.com.pk\/en\/?p=5225"},"modified":"2023-12-29T21:23:45","modified_gmt":"2023-12-29T21:23:45","slug":"sbp-launches-app-for-customers-complaints","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsmakers.com.pk\/en\/business\/sbp-launches-app-for-customers-complaints\/5225\/","title":{"rendered":"SBP Launches App For Customers&#8217; Complaints"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Web Desk<\/strong> &#8212; To strengthen the banking sector\u2019s efficiency and fairness in complaints handling and to address customer issues, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has launched &#8216;Sunwai&#8217; \u2013 a customer complaint service portal and app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the central bank&#8217;s press release, &#8216;Sunwai&#8217; will serve as a one-window operation for banking customers to register their complaints against Banks, Microfinance Banks (MFBs), and Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) operating in Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Customers can now register complaints related to any banking product or service, including Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA) through Sunwai, accessible through a web browser as well as through the mobile application, both at Android and iOS. Registered users will be able to lodge complaints in either English or Urdu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each complaint will have a unique tracking number to be communicated to users via SMS and email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SBP has already directed banks to ensure prompt and fair resolution of complaints well within turnaround times (TATs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is expected that the customer complaint service portal and app will contribute significantly towards strengthening consumer trust in the banking industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Web Desk &#8212;
