Web Desk — TikTok India has terminated its entire workforce in the country in just 7 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company informed as many as 40 employees on phone about their termination and offered them up to six to seven months of severance pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The situation emerged after the Indian government banned TikTok and nearly 300 other Chinese apps in June 2020 following severe border issues with Beijing 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TikTok spokesperson in India thanked the employees acknowledging their contribution to the company. The employees have been given assurance that the company will support them during this challenging time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
