{"id":3884,"date":"2023-01-31T09:52:28","date_gmt":"2023-01-31T09:52:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsmakers.com.pk\/en\/?p=3884"},"modified":"2023-01-31T09:52:30","modified_gmt":"2023-01-31T09:52:30","slug":"talibans-resettlement-policy-proved-counter-productive-rana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsmakers.com.pk\/en\/pakistan\/talibans-resettlement-policy-proved-counter-productive-rana\/3884\/","title":{"rendered":"Taliban&#8217;s Resettlement Policy Proved Counter-Productive; Rana"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Web Desk &#8212; Giving his reaction to the Peshawar blast, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the prior policy to resettle and rehabilitate the militants of the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has proved counter-productive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that the incumbent coalition government has adopted a policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism and extremism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking during the Geo News program &#8216;Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath&#8217; on Monday, Rana Sanaullah said it was wrong to think that the outlawed TTP would be brought under the law of Pakistan following negotiations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The interior minister said that the idea that they would lay down their arms and submit to the law was a mistake. Rana Sanaullah added that it was also incorrect to believe that the TTP was separate from the Afghan Taliban.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the present government has changed its approach towards the Taliban.
