{"id":3850,"date":"2023-01-24T17:19:38","date_gmt":"2023-01-24T17:19:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsmakers.com.pk\/en\/?p=3850"},"modified":"2023-01-24T17:19:41","modified_gmt":"2023-01-24T17:19:41","slug":"artificial-intelligence-ai-can-boost-pakistans-it-exports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsmakers.com.pk\/en\/business\/artificial-intelligence-ai-can-boost-pakistans-it-exports\/3850\/","title":{"rendered":"Artificial Intelligence (AI) Can Boost Pakistan&#8217;s IT Exports"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Web Desk &#8212; Giving us a glimpse of its potential, Pakistan&#8217;s IT sector has shown consistent growth over the last few years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Umair Azam, the founder and CEO of Integration Xperts, said, &#8220;Support from the government and the academia towards improving ease of doing business, tax concessions, promoting research and development, and producing skilled human resources can do wonders for Pakistan.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Umair expressed these views during a panel discussion titled \u2018IT Exports &amp; Way Forward\u2019 at the Global Digital Summit 2023 held in Islamabad recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Umair further said that the ICT services exports including telecommunication, computer, and information services, reached US$2.6 billion in FY22, from US$ 2.1 billion in FY21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He hoped Pakistan&#8217;s IT exports can increase by many folds by focusing on cloud deployments, and investment in newer technologies like IoT and Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CEO of Integration Xperts added that in order to lock the brain drain, there was a need to develop and train human resources and provide them with better opportunities in Pakistan.
