Salman Rushdie\u2019s agent has shared this update saying that the author has lost sight in one eye and use of one hand as a result of knife attack that took place in New York on August 12 earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Agent Andrew Wylie told the Spanish language newspaper, El Pais, that Rushdie suffered three serious wounds to his neck and 15 more wounds to his chest and torso in the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The man who attacked Salman Rushdi was identified as Hadi Matar, 24, a resident of Fairview, New Jersey. He has been incarcerated after pleading not guilty to attempted murder and assault in the Aug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
