Web Desk — Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) on Saturday officially launched Pakistan’s first locally assembled French automobiles brand \u2014 Peugeot 2008 SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peugeot is a French brand of automobiles owned by Stellantis and Peugeot Pakistan will work under LMC that will assemble various Peugeot models including Peugeot car, Peugeot 208, and Peugeot allure 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CEO LMC Asif Rizvi said the company has invested Rs4 billion in its Peugeot Pakistan project \u2014 including plant, machinery, and sales network \u2014 which led to the creation of 650 jobs. He said LMC is set to change the automotive landscape of Pakistan by introducing the French automobile brand Peugeot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peugeot 2008 model, launched in Pakistan, gives enough power equivalent to 1,800cc and delivers at a fuel consumption rate of as high as 15km per liter as compared to 10 km per liter for a 1,800 cc engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peugeot e-2008 will be the next model launched, giving customers the freedom to choose between a 100 percent electric and a thermic version, LMC CEO said, adding that there will be more jobs available with the expansion of Peugeot Pakistan network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her video message, Peugeot CEO Linda Jackson noted that this was the first time a European car was assembled in Pakistan. \u201cWe are excited to work with Lucky Motors to support employment, localization, and the local automotive industry in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are excited to embark on this journey in Pakistan with LMC while looking forward to witnessing the growth of both parties in the country,\u201d Stellantis COO Middle East and Africa Region Samir Cherfan said in a video message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
