Web Desk — Former Netherlands footballer and four-time UEFA Champions League winner Clarence Seedorf has embraced Islam and thanked his wife for teaching him the “in-depth meaning” of the faith. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besides playing for three prominent clubs including Ajax, Real Madrid, and AC Milan as well as 87 games for his country, Seedorf has also worked as a manager after retiring from professional sport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He took to his official Instagram account in which he can be seen standing with his wife ”Sophia” and also penned a long caption. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“A special thanks to all the nice messages in celebration of me joining the Muslim family,” Seedorf thanked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I’m very happy and pleased to join the all Brothers and Sisters around the world, especially my adorable Sophia who has taught me more in-depth the meaning of Islam,” he wrote while thanking his wife. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although, Seedorf will not change his name as he looks to carry the name given to him by his parents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
